WHIP ME WITH YOUR SWEAT SOCKS
In 1980, Pat Benatar recorded "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". It was her first Top 10 hit in the US and our marching band played this with gusto. In order to bring a bit of levity to our long hot band camp rehearsals, we would rename the songs. This was one of the renames.
In the late 70s and early 80s, those long tube socks that had colored stripes were making their way into gym lockers around the country. We didn't always take our gym clothes home to get washed every week, so they would turn a bit gray from dirt, grass, and dust.
In this colorway, you'll find the white sock with red and blue stripes, that has turned dingy from not being washed as well as some grass and dirt stains.
Shown on Serama Sock and Serama Bamboo.
Please allow 7 - 14 days for processing as this is a dyed-to-order colorway.
Thank you.

For best results, hand-knit items should be hand washed in tepid water and laid flat to dry. Superwash yarn CAN be washed in the machine on a gentle cycle (but not advised), then laid flat to dry. It is recommended to wash your skein before use. This will ensure any extra color will be rinsed out and prevent "bleeding".
Yarn dyeing is done at home in my back room and air-dried by God. We are a non-smoking home with a cat that roams around our back room and yard. He is afraid of the dyeing equipment and special care is taken so that he does not get onto the yarn - he's too old and arthritic to jump up on the table anyway.
Due to the nature of hand dyed yarns being unique, the skein you receive may vary slightly from the photo shown. If you have questions about the skein, please contact me and I will answer any questions you may have.
