Alexis is a ditzy, rich girl, socialite who is effervescent, intriguing, and charismatic.  Annie Murphy, the actress who embodied Alexis for six seasons, said she brought lots of Kardashian mannerisms into the character.  Alexis, we learn throughout the show, has spent lots of time with royalty.  Perhaps Alexis thinks of herself as royalty as well?
