This 1953 dystopian novel became a classic because of the stance against censorship and its focus on literature and knowledge. Schools have banned the book for its 'vulgarity' and using the Lord's name in vain. There are scenes of intoxication, cigarette smoking, violence, and the main character's 'dirty talk'.
A central theme is the contrast between being passively entertained through television and more in-depth critical thinking and discussion that comes from reading and discussing books.

Yarn dyeing is done at home in my back room and air-dried by God. We are a non-smoking home with a cat that roams around our back room and yard. He is afraid of the dyeing equipment and special care is taken so that he does not get onto the yarn - he's too old and arthritic to jump up on the table anyway.
Due to the nature of hand dyed yarns being unique, the skein you receive may vary slightly from the photo shown. If you have questions about the skein, please contact me and I will answer any questions you may have.
