The BOBWHITE QUAIL is also known as the Virginia quail or the northern bobwhite. Is is a ground-dwelling bird and has a whistling call that sounds like it's saying 'Bob White' or 'Bob Bob White'. It is the official state bird of Indiana, Mississippi, and Virgina.
