I FEEL PRETTY

Released in 1961, West Side Story is an American musical film inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.  Choreographed by Jerome Robbins with music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, the movie won many awards. The colors in I FEEL PRETTY is inspired by the dress Maria is wearing in the seamstress shop along with purple fabric she wraps herself in while singing and dancing.  Watch the clip here.  

YARN BASE INFORMATION:

For best results, hand-knit items should be hand washed in tepid water and laid flat to dry. Superwash yarn CAN be washed in the machine on a gentle cycle (but not advised), then laid flat to dry.  It is recommended to wash your skein before use.  This will ensure any extra color will be rinsed out and prevent "bleeding".

Yarn dyeing is done at home in my back room and air-dried by God. We are a non-smoking home with a cat that roams around our back room and yard. He is afraid of the dyeing equipment and special care is taken so that he does not get onto the yarn - he's too old and arthritic to jump up on the table anyway.

Due to the nature of hand dyed yarns being unique, the skein you receive may vary slightly from the photo shown. If you have questions about the skein, please contact me and I will answer any questions you may have.
