We will soon carry yarn that is grown, milled, and spun entirely in Mesa County, CO. As true protectors-of-wool, we transport sorted fleeces from the sheep ranch* to the mill** where the fleeces are washed with an organic cleanser, dried (by God), and then picked/carded/drafted/spun by machine.

We are truly shopping and buying local to help our community.

* This takes a bit of time as Lynne enjoys visiting with the sheep and giving lots of head scratches.  Lynne's husband loves talking military stuff with the shepherd while their daughter listens intently to all of the information about raising sheep and the qualities of different breeds.

** The mill owner used to work with Lynne's mother-in-law in the late 70s/early 80s.
