"And she was blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce
Another runner in the night"
These lyrics are often misheard as 'WRAPPED UP LIKE A DOUCHE' and the singer of Manfred Mann, Mick Rogers, often sang them this way as a joke. This song first appeared on the 1973 album Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. by The Boss, Bruce Springsteen. He wrote the lyrics first (using a rhyming dictionary) and then the music. Springsteen wrote "cut loose like a deuce" and were changed by Manfred Mann. These lyrics referred to revving up a 1932 Ford - a basic hot rod.

Washing instructions:
For best results, handknit items should be handwashed in tepid water and laid flat to dry. Superwash yarn CAN be washed in the machine on a gentle cycle (but not advised), then laid flat to dry.
Yarn dyeing is done at home in my back room and air-dried by God. We are a non-smoking home with a cat that roams around our back room and yard. He is afraid of the dyeing equipment and special care is taken so that he does not get onto the yarn - he's too old and arthritic to jump up on the table anyway.
Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarns being unique, the skein you receive may vary slightly from the photo shown. If you have questions about the skein, please contact me and I will answer any questions you may have.
