WEIGH A PIE
March 14 is known as Pi Day. Several indie-dyers took on the challenge to virtually 'bring a pie to the pi day potluck' and we used an inspiration photo for our colors. I chose an apple/cranberry pie. As I was dyeing this, I was listing to the lyrics of Judy Garland's 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', and heard 'WEIGH A PIE'. How fitting! Why not throw a misheard lyric, a musical, and food into a skein?
WEIGH A PIE includes a full skein of pinkish sweet apples, tart cranberries, a golden syrup, and flakey crust accompanied by a mini skein of cranberries.
Pre-order open until March 22, 2023. Orders will ship by March 29, 2023
YARN BASE INFORMATION:
For best results, hand-knit items should be hand washed in tepid water and laid flat to dry. Superwash yarn CAN be washed in the machine on a gentle cycle (but not advised), then laid flat to dry. It is recommended to wash your skein before use. This will ensure any extra color will be rinsed out and prevent "bleeding".
Yarn dyeing is done at home in my back room and air-dried by God. We are a non-smoking home with a cat that roams around our back room and yard. He is afraid of the dyeing equipment and special care is taken so that he does not get onto the yarn - he's too old and arthritic to jump up on the table anyway.
Due to the nature of hand dyed yarns being unique, the skein you receive may vary slightly from the photo shown. If you have questions about the skein, please contact me and I will answer any questions you may have.
