KLAATU BARADA NIKTO

$30.00

BASE

This phrase originated in the 1951 science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still.  Klaatu instructs Helen to say this phrase to the robot Gort.  When Gort hears the phrase, Kaatu's corpse is retrieved and resurrected.

What does it mean?   Edmund North, the writer, never released an official transcription.  A few attempts have been made including "save Earth".

This colorway evokes the color of the metallic suit the alien wears and is dyed only on sparkle bases.

Please allow 7 - 14 days for processing as this is a dyed-to-order colorway.

Thank you.

Washing instructions:

For best results, hand-knit items should be hand washed in tepid water and laid flat to dry. Superwash yarn CAN be washed in the machine on a gentle cycle (but not advised), then laid flat to dry.  It is recommended to wash your skein before use.  This will ensure any extra color will be rinsed out and prevent "bleeding".

Yarn dyeing is done at home in my back room and air-dried by God. We are a non-smoking home with a cat that roams around our back room and yard. He is afraid of the dyeing equipment and special care is taken so that he does not get onto the yarn - he's too old and arthritic to jump up on the table anyway.

Due to the nature of hand dyed yarns being unique, the skein you receive may vary slightly from the photo shown. If you have questions about the skein, please contact me and I will answer any questions you may have
